DANIEL JACOBS “I AM A FIGHTER” SHOWTIME® VIDEO
“My goal is not to become the greatest boxer of all time. My goal is to be one of the boxers who stood for something.” – Daniel Jacobs
Daniel Jacobs has always been a fighter. Growing up in Brooklyn’s notorious Brownsville neighborhood, he knew at a young age that for him it would be a career in the street or a career in the ring. Luckily for Jacobs, boxing was love at first sight. He suffered his first major bump in the road in 2010 when the overwhelming loss of his matriarchal grandmother just days prior to the most important fight of his career led to his only professional defeat. Still, that hurdle was nothing compared to his fight with cancer. Told by doctors in 2011 that he would never walk again, Jacobs is now approaching the pinnacle of boxing just three years later in a fight with Jarrod Fletcher for the Vacant WBA Middleweight World Championship.
Watch DANIEL JACOBS: I AM A FIGHTER and don’t miss the new biggest fight of his life this Saturday, LIVE on SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING® (9 p.m. ET/PT)
