Dierry Jean-Cleotis Pendarvis Deal Is Done
Montreal, April 4th 2013- The tentative agreement in regards to the International Boxing Federation elimination bout opposing Dierry Jean (24-0, 16KOs) to American Cleotis Pendarvis (17-3-2, 6KOs) has been finalized. The duel, which will determine the mandatory challenger to the Junior Welterweight title currently held by Lamont Peterson (31-1-1, 16KOs), will take place May 10th 2013 at the Buffalo Run Casino in Miami, Oklahoma. The event will be co-promoted between Eye of the Tiger Management and the American firm GCP Promotions. It will be a great opportunity for the Montreal pugilist to showcase his talent in his second visit on American soil, as the contest will be broadcasted on the prestigious television channel Showtime, as part of their Shobox series.
“Dierry will be crossing the American border for the second time to face a real tough opponent.
Pendarvis, who is an extremely fast and dangerous southpaw, will be an excellent test and will give Dierry a taste of the caliber of the major leagues. We are very confident he’ll get past this challenge in brilliant fashion,” highlights the president of Eye of The Tiger Management, Camille Estephan.
