Gold Medalist Egor Mekhontsev Signs With Bob Arum
Nov. 1, 2013, Las Vegas,NV — ” OLYMPIC GOLD MEDALIST SIGNS WITH TOP RANK” —- 2012 Olympic gold medalist Egor Mekhontsev (R) of Asbest, Russia today signed with Top Rank. Bob Arum(2nd right) made the announcement today, saying “Egor's first fight will be on our December 7 HBO event in New Jersey. We expect a great, glorious future for Egor, an Olympic gold medalist who is beginning his professional career.” Mekhontsev won his 2012 Olympic gold medal at the London Games. He earlier won gold medals at the 2011 World Amateur Championships and 2010, 2008 European World Championships. Arum announced that Team Mekhontsev will set up a training camp in Los Angeles.
