Golden Boy Wins Peterson-Jean Purse Bid

Montreal, November 6th 2013- The final purse bid for the IBF light welterweight World Champion Lamont Peterson (31-2-1, 16 KOs) to defend his title vs mandatory challenger, Quebec’s Dierry Jean (25-0, 17 KOs) , was held yesterday at the IBF’s central office in New Jersey. The $156,000.00 bid was awarded to the American company, Golden Boy promotions, for the promotional rights to the event.

“Golden Boy now has 90 days from yesterday, by February 5^th, for the event to take place. Dierry has already begun training and we are very confident he will be crowned the World champion regardless where the event takes place” explains Eye of the Tiger Management CEO Camille Estephan.
