Canelo and Lara Make Weight

Canelo Alvarez and Erislandy Lara (seen above in Esther Lin snap) both scaled 155 pounds today, for the non-title match at the MGM in Las Vegas, and on Showtime PPV. Lara made a couple waves when he told media that he’d like to rip off Canelos’ face then and there. Award him a point or two if you believe such talk indicates a level of intensity that will serve him well in the squared circle. Or don’t, if you think such talk is usually hallow, and you prefer the stoic sort, like a Canelo, who seems mild, till fight night…when he is trying to knock your head into row three, with every shot.
