Cotto-Canelo Done By Tuesday? “Maybe” Says Team Cotto Advisor
It’s the post holiday blues time of year, when I have to search that much harder for good news. So I went after some, and approached Gaby Penagaricano, and advisor to Puerto Rican fight icon Miguel Cotto.
What about it Gaby, will you be able to help kickstart our new year in boxing with news that a legit Super Fight, between Cotto and the carrot-topped Mexican Canelo Alvarez is a done deal? I’ve heard that could come Monday or Tuesday. Shall I ready the Champagne, to pop a cork and exult?
“Maybe,” he said. “Not sure really. But Happy New Year!”
Hey sometimes you’re wearing those cranky pants and the blues is the music playing in your head and it can’t be dispelled, because good news isn’t forthcoming…so sometimes, “maybe” will have to do, right?
