Toe To Toe Tuesdays on FS1 Jan 12
The Premier Boxing Champions series kicks off their 2016 schedule with a full night of fights coming to us January 12th from San Antonio, Texas. Promoter Mike Battah and former world champion Jesse James Leija have eleven fights in the works, and the evening's feature bouts will air on Fox Sports 1 as part of the “Toe To Toe Tuesdays” broadcast.
The main event sees undefeated (18-0) Super Featherweight prospect Miguel Flores step up to face veteran Mario Briones (27-4-2) in a ten round bout. Briones is working his way back from a layoff, however he is the most experienced opposition yet for the 23 year old Briones.
The televised support fights come at 8 rounds, as undefeated prospects Ahmed Albiali (13-0) and Bryant Perrella (12-0) both appear in feature bouts.
The card also features Leduan Barthelemy (7-0), the brother of IBF World Lightweight Champion Rances Barthelemy, as he looks to stay undefeated against veterann Darryl Hayes (5-5). Similar circumstances surround young Brandon Figueroa (4-0), who faces Harold Reyes in a bantamweight bout scheduled for 6 rounds. Brandon is the younger brother of WBC World Lightweight titleholder Omar Figueroa Jr, who is own of promoter Mike Battah's top draws in the area.
