Pacqauio-Mayweather A No Go For Now
The March 13 megafight showdown between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather won't happen on March 13, or in the foreseeable future. An attempt at mediation on Wednesday failed, and both boxers are now pursuing other matches. The two sides met for a mediation session Tuesday in California for approximately nine hours with a retired federal judge, Daniel Weinstein, and tried again all Wednesday to hash out terms. The flag of surrender went out late Wednesday evening. It is believed that Pacquiao promoter Bob Arum will seek to match Pacquiao with WBA junior middleweight champion Yuri Foreman of New York. That fight has some appeal because Pacqauio would be gunning for a title in a record eighth weight class.
