Bobby Gunn Fights Ernest Jackson on Thursday
Gunn Ready To Go To Battle This Thursday
While the rest of the world will be welcoming December and the upcoming holiday season this Thursday, Bobby Gunn will have his mind focused on one thing. and one thing only—defending his world heavyweight bareknuckle boxing title.
At an undisclosed location outside of Philadelphia this December 1, reigning BKB champ Gunn will be facing Ernest Jackson, a bodyguard and well known fighter on the underground bareknuckle boxing circuit.
This is Gunn's first title defense since claiming the vacant belt—previously held by John L. Sullivan in 1887—this past summer, and he anticipates being put to the test.
“I thank Ernest Jackson and his team for stepping forward with a legit, formidable offer with the finances to back it up,” says Gunn. “From what I've heard about Ernest Jackson, he is a tough bareknuckle fighter. He has a record of 30-0 with 30 KO's, so I expect it to be a good fight.”
“Sharks are born into hunting and Bobby Gunn was born into fighting,” said Gunn. “Come Thursday I will be ready to go out and do what I have to do.”
Although the fight will not be aired live, it will be available shortly thereafter by visiting www.ibkba.com.
