Boxing News: Braithwaite, Stallone and Kallen Hit the Airwaves
BOSTON (March 27, 2005) – New England Ringside Radio Show takes a bite of reality, boxing-wise, with special guests Jackie Kallen, Frank Stallone and WBC cruiserweight champion Wayne “Big Truck” Braithwaite Thursday night (6-8 PM) on WWZN 1510, aka The Zone.
The two-hour New England Ringside Boxing Radio Show – hosted by Ted Bodenrader, Anthony Pepe, Rick Brutti and Joe Bills – airs every Thursday night between 6-8 pm (ET) on Boston’s Boxing Station, The Zone (1510 AM), and also may be heard live on the Internet by going to www.newenglandringside.com.
Jackie Kallen had a movie made about her life in boxing, “Against The Ropes,” and she was portrayed by Meg Ryan. Jackie also is involved in “The Contender.” She will discuss the reality series, what it was like managing James Toney, and she’ll discuss her newest client, Matt “Sharp Shooter” Remillard, who makes his pro debut Friday in New Haven.
Sly Stallone’s brother, Frank, also talks about “The Contender,” especially New England’s two representatives, Peter Manfredo, Jr. and Jeff “Hellraza” Fraza.
Last but not least is Wayne Braithwaite. He’ll break down his unification fight Saturday night on Showtime versus WBA titleholder Jean-Marc Mormeck in Worcester, the state of the cruiserweight division, and his plan to move up to the heavyweight ranks.
