Boxing Odds – Abraham vs. Smith for WBO Super Middleweight Title September 27!
Defending WBO super middleweight champion Arthur Abraham is coming off his first successful title defense bout and is riding a four bout winning streak as he extracted revenge on Robert Stieglitz to secure the title bout. Paul Smith will be stepping way up in class as he tried to take away Abraham’s belt and establish himself with a signature win. Arthur Abraham will face Paul Smith for the WBO Super Middleweight title on September 27 at Kiel, Schleswig Holstein, Germany. Abraham opened as a -500 favorite with the Boxing odds while Smith opened as a +400 dog.

Arthur Abraham is 34 years of age and a native of Armenia who now resides in Berlin, Germany. Abraham stands at five feet nine inches tall with a reach of 72 inches and fights from an orthodox stance. Abraham in ranked number one in Germany and number four in the world. Abraham has a career record of 40 wins, four losses and zero draws with 28 out of his 40 wins coming by knockout. Abraham has suffered just one knockout loss in his career. Abraham is coming off a unanimous decision win against Nikola Sjekloca on May 3, 2014 in what was his first title defense bout for the WBO super middleweight belt. The bout went the full 12 rounds at The Velodrom in Berlin, German. Prior to that Abraham scored a split decision win over Robert Stieglitz on March 1, 2014 as he avenged a title bout loss to Stieglitz from the previous year in a 12 round bout that took place at GETEC Arena in Sachsen Anhalt, Germany.

The 31 year old Paul Smith stands at five feet eleven inches tall with a reach of 72 inches and fights from an orthodox stance. Smith hails from Liverpool, Merseyside, United Kingdom where he was born. He has a career record of 35 wins, three losses with zero draws. Out of Smith’s 35 wins 20 have come by knockout and he has suffered two knockout losses. Smith is ranked seventh in the United Kingdom and 38th in the world. He is coming off a technical knockout win over David Sarabia on May 17, 2014.
