Pacquiao is a native of the Philippines where he still resides. Pacquiao is the top ranked welterweight in the Philippines and is ranked second in the world. Pacquiao has a career record of 56 wins, five losses, and two draws. Out of his 56 career wins a total of 38 have come by knockout. Pacquiao has suffered three knockout losses out of his five career defeats. Pacquiao is coming off a 12 round unanimous decision win over Timothy Bradley on April 12, 2014 for the WBO world welterweight title in a bout that took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, NV.

The 30 year old Chris Algieri stands at five feet 10 inches tall with a reach of 72 inches and fights from an orthodox stance. Algieri has a career record of 20 wins and no losses with no draws. Out of his 20 career wins a total of eight have come by knockout. Algieri is a native of Huntington, New York, USA where he still resides. He is the fifth ranked welterweight in the United States and is ranked seventh in the world.
