Boxing Odds – Quigg vs. Otake for WBA World Super Bantamweight Title November 22!

Scott Quigg has never tasted the bitterness of defeat as the WBA World Super Bantamweight champion and will defend his title belt for the fifth time when he faces Hidenori Otake, a top Japanese boxer who will be stepping way up in class against Quigg.

Scott Quigg will face Hidenori Otake for the WBA World Super Bantamweight title on November 22 at the Echo Arena in Liverpool, Merseyside, United Kingdom. Quigg opened as a -1600 favorite with the Boxing odds while Otake opened as a +800 dog.

The 26 year old Scott Quigg stands at five feet eight inches tall and fights from an orthodox stance. Quigg is a native of Bury, Lancashire, United Kingdom. Quigg is ranked second in the United Kingdom and ranked fifth in the world. Quigg has a career record of 29 wins, no losses, and two draws. Out of his 29 wins a total of 22 have come by knockout.

Quigg is coming off a technical knockout win over Stephane Jamoye on September 13 in the third round of a scheduled 12 round bout that took place in Manchester, Lancashire, United Kingdom.

Quigg originally won the WBA World Super Bantamweight title on November 24, 2012 in a technical knockout over Rendall Munroe and has successfully defended the title belt three times with one draw.

Hidenori Otake

The 33 year old Hidenori Otake stands at five feet, seven and one half inches tall and fights from an orthodox stance. Otake is a native of Japan and currently resides on Tokyo. Otake is ranked second in Japan and ranked eighth in the world. He has a career record of 22 wins, one loss, and three draws. Otake has a total of nine knockout wins out of his 22 career victories and has never suffered a knockout loss.

Otake is coming off a unanimous decision win over Takafumi Nakajima in a 10 round bout that took place on March 24, 2014 for the Japanese Super Bantamweight title.

Otake originally won the Japanese Super Bantamweight title on August 6, 2012 and has successfully defended the belt a total of four times.
