truTV and Top Rank will exclusively present MetroPCS Friday Night Knockout on truTV, a live prime time boxing series, Friday, November 20, at 10 p.m. ET returning to the bright lights of the Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. The boxing series, produced in association with Turner Sports and HBO Sports, will feature two 10-round bouts.
The night’s main event will showcase undefeated WBO International and NABF Super Middleweight Champion Gilberto “Zurdo” Ramirez (32-0, 26 KOs) of Mazatlán, Mexico, taking on Gevorg Khatchikian (23-1, 11 KOs) of the Netherlands, making his U.S. debut. In the telecast’s opening bout, undefeated Saul “Kid Dynamite” Rodriguez (18-0-1, 13 KOs) of Riverside, California will square off against San Antonio’s Ivan “Bam Bam” Najera (16-1, 8 KOs) in a lightweight match-up.
Commentators for the event will include Bruce Beck providing play-by-play with analysts Timothy Bradley and Ray “Boom Boom” Mancini and reporter Crystina Poncher. Beck is a veteran boxing play-by-play man and WNBC-TV’s lead sports anchor in New York. Bradley is the two-time and current WBO welterweight champion and former WBO and two-time WBC junior welterweight champion. Mancini is a 2015 International Boxing Hall of Fame inductee and former NABF and WBA lightweight champion. Poncher is a commentator and reporter for Top Rank, as well as a host, reporter and correspondent for NFL Network and NFL.com
