Boxing Returns To Downtown Boston, July 27
BOSTON (June 27, 2013) — Professional boxing returns to downtown Boston as Big Six Entertainment, in association with Cappiello Promotions, presents “The Roxy Homecoming Celebration” at The Royale Nightclub Boston (formerly The Roxy) on Saturday, July 27, with a special start time of 5 p.m. ET.
Iraq War veteran Chris Traietti, a light heavyweight fighting out of nearby Quincy, headlines in an eight-round bout. Unbeaten Boston welterweight Gabriel Duluc (8-0, 1 KO) will be showcase in the six-round co-feature event.
Opponents in all of the slated fights cannot be announced until approved by the Massachusetts State Athletic Commission.
Scheduled to fight on the undercards in separate four-round matches are Stoughton (MA) light heavyweight Michael Weisberg (3-0, 2 KOs), Boston welterweight Greg “The Villain” Vendetti (3-0, 2 KOs), Somerville (MA) super middleweight Jimmy Cappiello (4-3, 1 KO), Irish middleweight John “Buncrana Banger” Hutchinson (3-0-1, 1 KO), now fighting out of Boston, and pro-debuting Boston middleweight Matt Phinney.
All fighters are subject to change.
