Dierry Jean Volunteers For Crack At Terence Crawford
Terence Crawford has been on a helluva streak, having won the 2014 BWAA Fighter of the Year award, and being nominated for an ESPN ESPY, in the best fighter category. Ronda Rosey snagged that trophy, but that doesn’t diminish from the anticipation in the veins of fight fans who are eager to see how high Crawford, the fighting pride of Nebraska, can fly.
He needs a dance partner for his next tussle, which is still being decided on the when and where. One person with hand raised high threw their hat and gloves into the ring; Canadian Dierry Jean sent out this message to Warren Buffet’s boxing buddy.

I passed it along to Crawford’s trainer/co-manager, Brian MacIntyre. B-Mac, whaddya think? Jean is 29-1 with 20 KOs, is 33 years old, and he scored a UD10 win over Jerry Belmontes last month. He’s won four straight since losing a UD12 in a title try against Lamont Peterson.
“Tell him to get in line,” Mac said. “Or go back and get that win from Peterson!”
Promoter Camille Estephan handles Jean; he told me, “It would be a hell of a fight. We came close against Peterson but with that experience and some other factors in the bank we could beat Crawford if he dares step in the ring with Dierry Jean!”
