Guerrero, Smith Make Weight For ShoBox Fight

NOTE: WEIGHTS (July 15, 2010) – Top middleweight prospect Fernando Guerrero weighed in at 159 pounds and tough veteran Ishe Smith measured 158 pounds during Thursday’s weigh in at Fitzgerald Casino in Tunica, Miss.
Guerrero (18-0, 15 KOs) will put his undefeated record on the line against Smith (21-4, 9 KOs) in a 10-round bout in the main event of ShoBox: The New Generation tomorrow, Friday, LIVE on SHOWTIME® (11 p.m. ET/PT, delayed on the west coast). The tripleheader will take place at the DeSoto Civic Center in Southaven, just days from the ninth anniversary of the first ShoBox telecast.
Promising, unbeaten knockout artist Shawn Porter (15-0, 12 KOs), 147 pounds, will face fellow prospect Ray Robinson (11-1, 4 KOs), 148 pounds, in a 10-round junior middleweight (catch weight 150 lbs) bout.
Another talented, undefeated prospect, Lanard Lane (12-0, 7 KOs), 142 pounds will put his perfect record up against Mike Dallas, Jr., (14-0-1, 5 KOs), 141 pounds, in an eight-round welterweight bout.
The tripleheader, which is promoted by Prize Fight, will be the 143rd ShoBox telecast since the series began on July 21, 2001.

SMITH: “Im back at home on SHOWTIME. This is where it started. Im like a kid that went off to college and now I am back to try and graduate from ShoBox once again. I love these people and I really miss Nick Charles. I wish he were here to see me, but I know hell be watching. This one is for him.
