Guy Robb Signs With Top Rank
Las Vegas – Guy Robb, an action featherweight from Sacramento, has signed with Top Rank.
Robb has a record of 15-1-0, has won eight fights in a row, four by knockout. He is trained by Ray Woods, stepfather and original trainer of the late champion Diego ‘Chico’ Corrales.
“Guy has an aggressive, entertaining style of boxing and is always in exciting fights,” said Hall of Fame matchmaker Bruce Trampler of Top Rank.
Manager Herb Stone said, “Guy has wins over undefeated fighters. He competes at a high level. Fight fans are really going to like his in-ring intensity and will to win.”
Robb, 26, said, “I train at Golden State Bloodhounds Gym in Sacramento. It’s Ray Woods’ gym. I used to try to knock everyone out. He is teaching me to more creative, set up my opponents, then go for the big punch when I am in the ring.”
Robb was a 2008 Ringside National Amateur champion and in the same year was a bronze medalist at the U.S. National Championships at 125 pounds.
Top Rank will soon announce Robb’s debut with the company, Trampler said.
