Mexicos Number One Fighter Is Greeted By Throngs of Fans Before Heading to Las Vegas to Face Juan Baby Bull Diaz on July 31 in Fight of the Year: The Rematch
Los Angeles, CA (July 25)…Hundreds of fans braved the heat at the famed Placita Olvera today to cheer on Juan Manuel Dinamita Marquez before he heads to Las Vegas to face Juan Baby Bull Diaz in Fight of the Year: The Rematch on July 31 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center live on HBO Pay-Per-View®. Over 300 fans showed their support for Mexicos Numero Uno and Marquez reciprocated that support by signing autographs for over two hours in the blazing sun.
I was so happy that all of the fans came out to support me today, said Marquez. Being in America really makes me feel like the fight is almost here. I just want to make the Mexican people proud and be victorious on July 31.
Rising junior welterweight prospect Frankie Gomez, who is preparing to fight Ricardo Calzada on the Fight of the Year: The Rematch undercard, was also in attendance.

Marquez vs. Diaz II Fight of the Year: The Rematch is promoted by Golden Boy Promotions in association with Marquez Boxing Promotions and sponsored by Cerveza Tecate and AT&T. The 12-round rematch of the 2009 Fight of the Year is scheduled for Saturday, July 31 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nev. and will be for Marquezs Ring Magazine, WBA and WBO Lightweight World titles. The championship fight will be produced and distributed live on HBO Pay-Per-View® beginning at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.
Tickets for Marquez vs. Diaz II are priced at $350, $250, $150, $100 and $50 and are on sale now.
