Jason Litzau Hits Chicago
On October 20, undefeated featherweight prospect Jason “The American Boy” Litzau makes his Chicago debut in a ten-round co-main event. Known for his electrifying, all-action fighting style, Litzau, of St. Paul, Minnesota, has been earmarked as one of the up-and-coming superstars of the sport.
Most recently, Litzau thrilled the packed house at Harrah’s Rincon Casino in Valley Center, California with a stunning ESPN televised first round KO of Nicky Bentz on July 14, to move his record to 19-0 with seventeen knockouts.
Main Events’ Kathy Duva of Main Events said of her decision to bring Litzau to Chicago, “8 Count boxing is synonymous with Chicago Boxing. 8 Count attracts the hardcore boxing fans making their events great showcases for future stars and current contenders. Main Events has featured many of our boxers on 8 Count Productions fight cards—such as Calvin Brock, Joel Julio, and Raul Martinez—and we continue that tradition on October 20th when highly-regarded prospect Jason Litzau visits Chicago.”
“He’s a terrific kid to watch,” said 8 Count’s Dominic Pesoli of Jason Litzau, “very much like seeing Arturo Gatti early in his career. His fight on ESPN last year with Johnny Nolasco was an outstanding display of his warrior spirit. I’m thrilled to work with Main Events to give our fans an opportunity to see him.”
Headlining the SOLO BOXEO de Miller televised OCTOBER FURY is a Mexican welterweight showdown between hard-hitting prospect Michel Rosales, 11-0 (10 KOs) of San Luis Potosi, Mexico, versus veteran Jesus Soto Karass, 14-3-2 (11 KOs) of Los Mochis, Mexico.
“I just saw Karass’s fight with Vince Phillips,” added Pesoli, “and he’s a real skilled tough guy who will be a true test for Rosales.”
Also featured on the card is the return of Chicago middleweight “MACHO” Miguel Hernandez, 19-5 (9 KOs).
The full fight card is as follows:
Michel Rosales vs. Jesus Soto Karass, welterweights, ten rounds
Jason Litzau vs. TBA, featherweights, ten rounds,
Miguel Hernandez vs. TBA, middleweights
Omar Reyes vs. TBA, featherweights, six rounds
