Jean Pascal To Fight Lucian Bute on May 25
MONTREAL (March 15, 2013) – InterBox and the Group Yvon Michel (GYM) are happy to officially confirm the much anticipated fight between Lucian Bute (31-1-0 24 KO) and Jean Pascal (27-2-1 16 KO). This huge fight will be held on Saturday, May 25. The venue for the event, as well as confirmation of an American network, will soon be determined.
“It is a historic moment for boxing in Canada, one that promises to galvanize the emotions of all, to be engraved forever in collective memory,” declared the president of GYM, Yvon Michel, upon the signing a contract between the two promoters and the two fighters.
“It is the fight boxing fans from here in Canada have waited for and it is an honor to promote,” added president of’ InterBox, Jean Bédard. “The boxers and the promoters are working hard and fans will be witness a spectacular show the evening of May 25th.”
Remaining details are expected to be finalized in the next few days. The date of the first face-to-face between Bute and Pascal and ticket sales information will soon be announced.
