Jerry Odom Fights At MSG, Vs. Andrew Hernandez
Nutley, NJ(January 8, 2015)–This Friday night, undefeated super middleweight Jerry “The Kings Son” Odom will take on fellow undefeated Andrew Hernandez (7-0-1, 1 KO) of Phoenix, Arizona as part of the Inaugural Roc Nation boxing card at the Madison Square Garden Theater.
The undefeated Odom is promoted by GH3 Promotions.
Odom of Bowie, Maryland and has a record of 12-0 with 11 knockouts and is coming off a thrilling 7th round stoppage over Villier Quinonez on July 25. Like Hernadez, Quinonez was undefeated.
Despite facing his second consecutive undefeated fighter, Odom is just going about his business on his way to stardom.
“It’s just another steppingstone fight. I don’t know much about him. My trainers know everything that I need to know,” said the 21 year-old Odom.
This will be the Madison Square Garden debut for Odom and he respects the history of the “Worlds Most Famous Arena”.
It is an opportunity to fight in this magnificent place that many other great fighters have fought in.”
Being that the fight is in New York in front of the sophisticated New York media and crowd, Odom is looking to put on a good performance.
“I thin it’s important to shine in the best way I can each fight. I always try to do my best.”
Odom is not looking past Hernandez but he knows he will be ready for a big fight to come his way.
“I really can’t give a prediction when those fights will come at my doorstep but I will be there to open the door. I just want to thank my team and the people who are around me that motivate me and keep me focused.”
Said GH3 Promotions CEO Vito Mielnicki, “We look forward to starting the year with a great performance from John. It is a great opportunity to compete on the first Roc Nation show in Madison Square Garden against an undefeated opponent. This will be the start of a tremendous year for John as he transforms for a top prospect to a legitimate contender at Super Middleweight.”
