Jayvier’s bout is one of the main events on the fight cards we are developing for the WBO Convention in Panama, which will host other great match ups as well”, manifested Peter Rivera, Cintron’s promoter and vice-president of PR Best Boxing Promotions
Cintron (8-0, 4 KOs), who was recently ranked ninth in the WBO at 115 pounds, will defend his title against Solano (21-2, 8 KOs) in a 10-round fight. The Puerto Rican, promoted by Top Rank, recently crowned Latin champion in the WBO at 115 pounds with a convincing unanimous decision over the mexican fighter Francisco Alonso Melendez (15-3, 13KOs) the 1st of September, and also holds the World Juvenile belt in the WBO at 118 pounds, which he won in July.
After his participation in the Olympics of 2016, Cintron, trained by the ex double world champion Ivan “Iron Boy” Calderon, debuted professionally in April of 2017, a year in which he only competed twice but since then has fought six times in 2018 two of them being title fights.
