Joselito Collado To Open Fox Show Oct. 29
Fighting for the first time under the Main Events banner, Joselito Collado (12-0, 3 KO's) of Jamaica, Queens, NY, will take on undefeated Casey Ramos, (14-0, 4 KO's) of Austin, TX, on October 29th in an 8 round Super Featherweight bout at Win Star World Casino in Thackerville, Oklahoma. The fight will open the live Top Rank telecast on FOX Sports at 10 pm eastern/7 pm pacific.
In his last fight Collado scored a sixth round split decision over Rafael Lora at Newark's Prudential Center. Ramos also earned a split decision in his last fight in an 8-rounder against Georgi Kevlishvili in Las Vegas. Collado and Ramos were slated to fight this past July but an illness forced Collado to pull out.
Collado says he is ready for anything Ramos brings, “We've been training really hard for almost 2 months. Right now we are training 5 minute rounds, sometimes doing 12 rounds of 5 minutes without stopping, so my conditioning has gotten much better. We are boxing more during this training camp because we hear that the guy likes to come forward. I am ready. I feel incredibly good. I am in a very strong frame of mind. I'm looking to put this guy out by the fourth round.”
