NEW YORK (November 11, 2014) – Gary Shaw Productions undefeated prospects, light welterweight Kenneth Sims Jr. (3-0, 2 KOs) and super-bantamweight Eduardo Martinez (3-0, 1 KO), make their way back to the ring November 13, 2014 at The Space at Westbury in Westbury, New York.
Kenneth Sims Jr. will face Francisco Lopez (2-1) while Eduardo Martinez will square off against Jose Del Valle (4-8-3). Both Sims Jr. and Martinez hail from Chicago and will be fighting in 4-round bouts.
“I’m excited to be fighting in New York for the first time in my professional career,” said Sims Jr. “I feel like my power is starting to settle into my punches. I’m still learning on the job but I’m definitely getting better with each fight. I’m ready to show the fan in New York what I’m all about.”
“I’ve been working extremely hard in the gym and I’m looking to make a statement on Nov 13th, Martinez said. “I like to throw a lot of punches and my goal is to always look for the knockout. Whether it comes or not, I’m going to put on a great show for all the fans in attendance.”
Promoter Gary Shaw is thrilled with the progress of both Sims Jr. and Martinez and believes they will both become something special their respective divisions.
“Sims Jr. and Martinez are very talented and both have a good head on their shoulders,” said Gary Shaw. “I believe they will become a force to be reckon with in the next couple of years as they ascent to the top of their weight classes. I want to thank Greg Cohen for working together with me by putting my guys on his show.
