Kimball's Media Tour For “At The Fights,” “Manly Art” Kicking Into Gear

(photo by Angie Carlino)At The Fights, the critically-acclaimed Library of America anthology edited by TSS columnist George Kimball and John Schulian, is listed as the nation’s top-selling boxing book by Amazon.com headed into what promises to be a busy few days for its co-authors. On Friday night, March 25, Kimball and Schulian will appear on Jeremy Schaap’s “The Sporting Life” on ESPN radio, and on Saturday and Sunday the ATF co-editors will be interviewed on Bill Littlefield’s National Public Radio program “Only A Game.”

Kimball, whose new book Manly Art will be published by McBooks Press this week, is also scheduled for appearances at Prospero’s Bookstore in Kansas City Sunday (5 p.m.) and (with Texas singer/songwriter/artist Tom Russell), at the Spencer Museum of Art in Lawrence, Kansas on Monday (5 p.m.), before returning to New York Wednesday, March 30, where the Barnes & Noble Tribeca store will host a 7 pm event featuring Kimball and At The Fights contributors Pete Hamill, Robert Lipsyte, and Mike Lupica.
