Larry Merchant would have looked even smarter if I typed faster…
I spoke to the ex HBO analyst a couple days before Ronda Rousey was set to extend her invincibility streak.
“Rousey challenging Mayweather or any good prizefighter, that’s just UFC hype,” said Merchant, while we chatted about Rousey being on the cover of RING.
“White, the guy who runs the company, he probably can’t stand it that one boxing event generated as much as he probably did in a year. And then Haymon got over $400 million to keep spreading the word…”
Yeah, Larry, not such an MMA guy…
