Manny Likely Not To Fight Past 2016, Says Arum; Last Fight in Manilla?
Promoter Bob Arum told me that he has a tentative plan, to have Manny Pacquiao fight his last fight in 2016, against Terence Crawford, the 2014 Fighter of the Year, in a stadium outside Manilla, which holds over 60,000 people.
“We could maybe let the people in for free, or give the proceeds to charity, and have the fight run on free HBO,” said the Las Vegas based dealmaker.
Arum said he and Manny have discussed when to hang ’em up; Manny is likely to run for a Senate seat, and that would emntail too much work, and juggling boxing would prove to be too dodifficult.
