Mccline Wants Back In The Mix

Jameel McCline eyes weak division and wants a shot

Slowly, surely, steadily, heavyweight Jameel McCline is climbing the rankings of the major sanctioning bodies (#10 WBO and top-15 in the WBC/IBF) and is eager to take the next step along the comeback trail by taking on one of the division’s champions or, failing that, one of the top-rated contenders.

Last month, I showed everyone I’m back and better than ever, McCline insists. Now that I’ve got your attention again, I’m sending out a message to all the other heavyweights: Jameel McCline wants to fight you. I am challenging any of the champions or any top-rated heavyweight in the world. I’ll fight anyone, anywhere. I want to be back on top and I don’t fear any of these guys.

McCline (38-6-3, 23 KOs) isn’t finished with what he started at the late age of 26, and his July 21 decision over once-beaten Terry Smith on ESPN2’s Friday Night Fights indicates there’s still a lot of fight left in the big man.

With six consecutive victories under his belt, the 6’6 slugger says he’s ready to reposition himself among the top-ten heavyweights by staying busy and rededicating myself to boxing, he says. I’m in the shape of my life and I’m ready to take out whoever I have to. When I’m in top physical and mental condition, there’s not a heavyweight in the world who can hang with me. I dare any top heavyweight in the world to get in the ring. You’re going to get hurt, Big Time!
