Oleksandr Usyk and Tony Bellew Face-Off at Today’s Weigh-in
Today’s weigh-in was held at Manchester Central, and there was a large and excited crowd in attendance. Usyk weighed in at 14st 2lbs 4oz / 198.4lbs and Bellew at 14st, 3lbs 5oz / 199.5lbs.
Tony Bellew, wearing a bandana to mask his face for the second day in a row, engaged in an intense face-off with Oleksandr Usyk, who also concealed his face today, but with a Manchester City football scarf. Some words were exchanged, although both fighters remained respectful, shaking hands and embracing afterwards.
Usyk (15-0, 11 KOs), currently the undisputed cruiserweight champion, won the Muhammad Ali trophy in the World Boxing Super Series tournament in July. He also holds the IBF, WBA, WBC, and WBO cruiserweight titles. At today’s weigh-in, he raised the Ukranian flag and chants of “Usyk! Usyk!” could be heard from his supporters. Tomorrow night, all titles will be on the line.
Bellew (30-2-1, 20 KOs) told Sky Sports News, “I feel fantastic – fat boy is in shape. I’m ready for war. He’s in the deep end. I know exactly where I’m at. I’m going to shock the world once again.” Bellew continued, “Tomorrow night, there will be war. He’s a formidable champion – one of the pound-for-pound kings of the world. We’re going to create madness tomorrow night.”

Josh Kelly (10st 11lbs 1oz / 151lbs 1oz) vs. Walter Castillo (10st 9lbs 5oz / 149lbs 5oz)
Dave Allen (18st 5lbs 4oz / 257lbs 4oz) vs. Ariel Bracamonte (18st 4lbs 9oz / 256lbs 9oz)
Sam Hyde (14st 3lbs 5oz / 199lbs 5oz) vs. Richard Riakporhe (14st 1lb 6oz / 197lbs 6oz)

The event will be broadcast live tomorrow via DAZN in the U.S. and via Sky Boxing Office in the U.K.
