Pacman Prefers His Justin (Fortune) To Floyd’s (Bieber)
So you know Floyd Mayweather is going to have some glitz n glam star power in his pocket on May 2, when he strolls to the ring with songster Justin Bieber as part of his crew.
That led me to wonder, does Manny Pacquiao plan on adding a buzz-y name to his ringwalk entourage?
Nah, a source close to Manny told me. He recorded his own theme song for fight night, and “as for Bieber, we have our own Justin, strength and conditioning coach Justin Fortune. I think he could handle Bieber with nine fingers tied behind his back! We’d rather go with the “Justin” who has been in the ring with Lennox Lewis. Listen, Manny is comfortable in his own skin, he doesn’t need to over-compensate. He’s going to be coming in to the ring with the hearts and minds of all Filipinos…that’s all he’s ever needed!”
Manny has been doing press–yesterday he chatted with Mario Lopez of “Extra” and news-ace Katie Couric of Yahoo. Then, it’s kaput for such stints; Monday, there will be a media shut-down, and the last 30 days will be spent on training and nothing but “before he tears apart Floyd Mayweather,” the insider told me.
“Otherwise known as Mr. 47-1!”
