Pacman To Meet With Rep. Gabbard
HOLLYWOOD, CALIF. (December 3, 2012) – After eight grueling weeks of training, in preparation for his fourth battle against professional nemesis Juan Manuel Márquez, Fighter of the Decade MANNY “Pacman” PACQUIAO, will conclude his final day of training camp with a media reception for Congresswoman-elect TULSI GABBARD (D-Hawaii), Today! Monday, December 3, beginning at approximately 2:00 p.m. PT, at Wild Card Boxing Club (1123 North Vine St., Hollywood, Calif. 90038.)
Pacquiao (54-4-2, 38 KOs), boxing’s only eight-division world champion, is also the sole congressional representative of the Sarangani province in his native Philippines. He had endorsed Ms. Gabbard’s candidacy which ended up with her winning a landslide victory in the November election and the opportunity to represent Hawaii’s 2nd District. Gabbard, 31, is an Iraq war veteran who served two tours. Her earliest success in Hawaii politics came in 2002, when she was elected to the state House of Representatives. Just 21 years old at the time, she was the youngest person ever elected to the Hawaii state legislature.
Following his reception with Congresswoman-elect Gabbard, Team Pacquiao will make its traditional road trip to Las Vegas in a luxury bus custom-designed with Pacquiao's image on all four sides.
