Peterson Brothers Will Serve T'Giving Meals

MEALS TO FAMILIES IN NEED THROUGHOUT WASHINGTON, DC

WHAT: Lamont and Anthony Peterson will spend this Thanksgiving week helping those in need as they volunteer to serve and deliver Thanksgiving meals and baskets to some of the Washington DC's less fortunate residents.
On Tuesday, November 22, the brothers will join District of Columbia Ward 8 Councilmember Marion Barry to help pass out turkeys to Ward 8 residents. Later in the day, the Petersons will travel to Martha's Table to speak with a group of at-risk youths and pass out Thanksgiving baskets to needy families supported by the organization. On Thursday, November 24, Thanksgiving Day, they will join the staff at the Central Union Mission to prepare and serve food to members of the homeless community.

FACTS: “Capital Showdown: Khan vs. Peterson,” a 12-round Unified Super Lightweight World Title Fight for Khan's WBA World Super Championship and IBF World Championship taking place on Saturday, Dec. 10 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC, is presented by Golden Boy Promotions and Khan Promotions and sponsored by Cerveza Tecate, DeWalt Tools and AT&T. Also featured will be a 10-round heavyweight battle between Seth “Mayhem” Mitchell and Timur Ibragimov. The fights will be telecast in the United States on HBO World Championship Boxing at 9:45 p.m. ET/6:45 p.m. PT and on Sky Sports in the United Kingdom. Anthony Peterson will participate in a 10-round lightweight bout on the non-televised undercard against an opponent to be determined.
