Please Excuse This Cross-Plug..Arum Pulls No Punches On Floyd
Forgive me for this cross-plug. But this video I took Tuesday for ESPNNewYork.com of Bob Arum is solid.
Arum told me he lost a million dollar sponsor because that sponsor was present at the Sept. 17 Mayweather-Ortiz fight; tells me he thinks Antonio Margarito is “an honest” and “earnest” man; shoots down the notion that he is counterprogramming Golden Boy, which is invading NY next year; says he was rooting for Merchant over Mayweather; and says that it is entirely possible that Mayweather could see jail time, which would remove him from the mix for a Pacquiao fight.
