“The Good Son” Comes Out This Summer
On Thursday, March 28, 2013, Ray “Boom Boom” Mancini hosted a knock-out night with a special advanced screening of his documentary, “The Good Son.” Some great names in sports and many actors came out to preview the film, which explores Ray’s life, his relationship with his dad and meeting the family of fighter, Duk Koo Kim. The brilliant documentary features candid interviews from Ray’s friends including Oscar nominated actor, Mickey Rourke (pictured with Mancini, left, in Tony DiMaio photo) and Screen Actors Guild Winner Ed O’Neill from the hit show “Modern Family.” The documentary recently joined with Snag Films and is preparing for the much anticipated theatrical release this summer 2013. Following the showing, guests enjoyed drinks and decadent food while mingling with the life-size Oscar statues at the Linwood Dunn Theater in Hollywood.
Regarding the night, Ray Mancini said, “It was a magic night. One of those nights you remember forever. Like seeing your child born, winning the World Title and having your first Hollywood premiere!”
Guests in attendance at the advanced Los Angeles screening included: Mickey Rourke (Oscar Nominated actor), Jackie Emerson (actress “Hunger Games”), Jesse James Miller, Cobi Jones – (3 time World Cup Soccer Player), Marta McGonagle – (actress “NCIS Los Angeles”), Jake Steinfeld – (Creator of “Body by Jake” workout empire), Mark Kriegel – (author of “The Good Son” and NFL Network Commentator), Anthony Yerkovich – (producer and creator of the TV show “Miami Vice”), Bob Jennings (actor “General Hospital”), Frank Stallone (actor and musician).
“The Good Son” was directed by Jesse James Miller and executive produced by Christopher Tavlarides, Jimmy Lynn, Mark Kriegel, Aaron Cohen and Ray Mancini.
