Ring 8 Board Salutes Gil Clancy
The Board and members of Ring 8 wish to offer our condolence and deepest sympathy to the family of Gil Clancy. Gil, a long standing member of Ring 8 and a recepient of Trainer of the Year, will be truly missed. While best remembered as an outstanding trainer, Gil brought a keen and honest perception of the sport that made him one of the most sought after trainers. Gil, along with his just recently deceased boxing partner and Ring 8 member Howie Albert, were a great duo in boxing like no other. Thank you for giving us some of the greatest fighters and most memorable boxing moments that will forever stay in our hearts. More importantly, thank you for your warmth, kindness, and friendship to all those in the boxing community. You will be truly missed.
