Over on HBO, Golden Boy Promotions was in Indio, California with two super featherweight twelve rounders topping the card. The WBC world super featherweight title changed hands in a war as Francisco Vargas ceded to Miguel Berchelt in the eleventh round. The co-feature saw former titleholder Takashi Miura facing Miguel Roman in another thriller that ended with Miura stopping Roman in the final round.

The last segment of the podcast turns to the subject of the now nearly mythical “Floyd Mayweather Jr vs Conor McGregor” showdown that has been in the news for roughly the last year. The fact is that the “talk” has been fueled by both men directly in the media on numerous occasions.
