TRU TALK: Donaire Got a Date
Nonito Donaire hoped and thought he’d be trekking from Cali to England, to glove up with Scott Quigg.
That one went off the rails, so instead Donaire will be tangling with Mr. TBA, likely in Puerto Rico, on Dec. 11, and that tussle will screen on TruTv.
I spoke to his manager, Cameron Dunkin, on Monday, and he said he’s working on getting that whole deal to the finish line.
Rachel Donaire, Nonitos’ missus, told me the same; she said to me, “Just working out details. Nonito will start sparring next week, he’s been training. He’s steady at 132 pounds!”
