Video Report: The International Boxing Hall of Fame
Where: 1 Hall of Fame Dr., Canastota, New York
When: Second weekend of June, annually
Why: Hall of Fame induction ceremony
The Skinny: It is boxing's feel-good answer to option contracts, rigged ratings and mismatches. Every year the boxing fraternity descends upon Canastota for a weekend of boxing bliss. Over two dozen Hall of Fame alumni and world champions arrive for the festivities. Among the events are: Friday Night Fight Card, collector's show, public workouts by active fighters, ringside lectures, a golf outing, a parade of champions and it all culminates with the induction ceremony on Sunday afternoon.
