WORLD RANKED HEAVYWEIGHT PRINCE CHARLES MARTIN
FIGHTS THIS SATURDAY NIGHT IN PHOENIX
Los Angeles, CA (February 23, 2015) Undefeated and world ranked heavyweight “Prince” Charles Martin will return to battle this Saturday night, Feb. 28 against heavy handed Brazilian slugger Raphael Zumbano Love in a scheduled 10-round battle at the famed Celebrity Theatre in Phoenix, Arizona.
Currently ranked #5 by the World Boxing Organization and #9 by the International Boxing Federation, Martin, 19-0-1 (17KO’s) will be closing camp in Big Bear Lake, California in the coming days.
“This is going to be a huge year for Charles if he keeps winning”, said Michael King of King Sports. “He had five knockouts last year and scored a first round knockout on January 9th. We want him to stay busy, keep learning and keep winning. He’s only 28 so we want to move him in the appropriate manner and not just get a big fight but win the fight when the situation arises which we believe will be this year.”
Against the battle tested Love, 35-9-1 (28KO’s), Martin will be challenged by a much more experienced veteran who is just two fights removed from a second round knockout of Ricardo Augusto Souza on August 30, 2014 in San Paolo, Brazil for the South American Heavyweight Title.
In the last year Love has also been battled former heavyweight champion Shannon Briggs and world ranked contender Eric Molina in distance fights.
