Kevin Rooney Signs With Dibella

New York, NY – (9/6/2011) –  After working for over three-years as the full-time publicist and event coordinator for Star Boxing, Kevin Rooney Jr. has switched promotional outfits, and taken a full-time position with Lou DiBella's, DiBella Entertainment.  Rooney will be taking over the position as DiBella's Executive Assistant and Director of Public Relations.

 

Rooney, the son of world renowned boxing trainer, Kevin Rooney, is graduate of Fordham University.  Rooney began working for Star in the summer of 2008, and was an integral part in the company's success the last three plus years.  In addition to his work on the Public Relations and Event Coordination front, Rooney also found time to embark on his own boxing career during his time at Star.  The Publicist/Pugilist made his much publicized pro-debut this past April on ESPN's “Friday Night Fights”, winning a four round decision over Dave Navarro.  Rooney followed up that win with a first round knockout over Elmer Vera in NYC on July 15th.  Now Rooney has decided to “take his talents” to DiBella.
