Tix On Sale WEDNESDAY For Brooklyn Show at Barclays
BROOKLYN (August 28, 2012)… Tickets for the much anticipated return of world championship boxing to Brooklyn go on sale TOMORROW,Wednesday, August 29 at 10:00 a.m. ET/7:00 a.m. PT. The stacked October 20 event will be the first boxing event to take place at the brand new, state-of-the-art Barclays Center in Brooklyn and features an exciting matchup between unbeaten Danny “Swift” Garcia who will be defending his WBA Super, WBC & Ring Magazine Super Lightweight World Championships against the legendary Mexican warrior and future Hall of Famer Erik “El Terrible” Morales. In the co-featured fight, Brooklyn's own Paulie “Magic Man” Malignaggi risks his WBA Welterweight World Championship against hard-hitting Pablo Cesar “El Demoledor” Cano. The night will also feature a star-studded line-up of New York's top talents including New York's undefeated Peter “Kid Chocolate” Quillin, Brooklyn's hot middleweight prospect Daniel “The Golden Child” Jacobs, former World Champion Luis Collazo, the Bronx's rising star Eddie Gomez, former title contender Dmitriy Salita and Brooklyn prospect Boyd Melson.
Tickets start at $50 and go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, August 29 at 10:00 a.m. ET and will be available at www.barclayscenter.com, www.ticketmaster.com, all Ticketmaster locations, or at 800-745-3000.
The explosive night of boxing is presented by Golden Boy Promotions in association with Box Latino and supported by Golden Boy Promotions sponsors Corona, DeWalt Tools and AT&T. The SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING telecast begins live at 9:00 p.m. ET. Preliminary fights will air live on SHOWTIME EXTREME® beginning at 7:00 p.m. ET.
