The big fights are a go. Andre Ward and Chad Dawson both made weight, scaling in at 168 pounds on the dot the day before they meet at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, to clash for Ward's WBA and WBC super middleweight titles.
HBO will air the fight, and pundits and fans alike are leaning towards the 25-0 Ward to confound and down the 31-1 Dawson. Readers, please leave your prediction in our Forum.
Lucas Matthysse, the Argentine bomber, and his foe, slick Nigerian-Brit Ajose Olusegun, were both 139 pounds the day before their tussle for the WBC interim lightweight crown at the Hard Rock in Las Vegas. Showtime airs that tangle, which as elevated to the top slot when Randall Bailey hurt his back in training to defend his WBC welter crown versus Devon Alexander just a week before the faceoff. Who do you like in that one, TSS Universe?
