Canelo-Lara “All Access” Debuts Saturday, July 12
NEW YORK (June 10, 2014) – SHOWTIME SPORTS®will offer the latest edition of the Emmy® Award-winning original documentary series ALL ACCESS in advance of the SHOWTME PPV event “Honor & Glory: Canelo Alvarez vs. Erislandy Lara,” a showdown between the No. 1 and No. 2 world-ranked fighters in the junior middleweight division on Saturday, July 12 from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
ALL ACCESS: Canelo vs. Lara Episode 1will premiere Friday, June 27, on SHOWTIME at 9 p.m. ET/PT and will be immediately followed by a ShoBox: The New Generation tripleheader headlined by Errol Spence Jr. vs. Ronald Cruz in a 10-round welterweight matchup.
ALL ACCESS gives viewers exclusive behind-the-scenes coverage as Canelo and Lara prepare for the biggest boxing event of the summer. Episode 1 takes viewers on private jets and on stage at each press conference during their four-city kickoff press tour. ALL ACCESS cameras join Lara at his home in Houston to meet his family and visit Canelo in San Diego as the fighters enter training camp for “Honor & Glory.”
Emmy Award-winning actor Barry Pepper returns as the voice of ALL ACCESS, which delivers uniquely intimate access by allowing its subjects to guide the narrative on real terms.
Episode 2 will premiere Wednesday, July 9 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, with only days to go before fight night.
Each episode will premiere on SHOWTIME with multiple encore presentations, including the cable television premiere on CBS SPORTS NETWORK. All episodes of the series will be available on SHOWTIME ON DEMAND®, SHOWTIME ANYTIME® and online at SHO.com/Sports.

“Honor & Glory: Canelo vs. Lara,” a 12-round junior middleweight fight taking place Saturday, July 12 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, is promoted by Golden Boy Promotions and Canelo Promotions and sponsored by Corona and AT&T. In the co-main event Abner Mares returns to face Puerto Rico’s Jonathan Oquendo in a 10-round featherweight bout. In the SHOWTIME PPV opening bout, Johan Perez defends his interim WBA World Junior Welterweight Title against Mauricio “El Maestro” Herrera in a 12-round match up. Also featured, Juan Manuel “JuanMa” Lopez meets Francisco “El Bandido” Vargas of Mexico in a 10-round bout for the WBO International Super Featherweight Title.
Tickets are still available at the $750, $500, $250, $150 and $75 price ranges, not including applicable service charges.
