Demetrius Andrade-“Thanks very much to HBO for this opportunity. I've waited a long time, five years in the making. There have been a few delays this year but now we're here and ready to go.”
“They say Vanes hits hard but boxing ain't easy. I'm in the best shape of my life and ready to bring the belt home to Providence, Rhode Island.”
Joe DeGuardia-“When we (Star Boxing and Banner Promotions) signed Demetrius 5 years ago we said he'd be a world champion. We knew that Demetrius would get his opportunity and be able to show the world who the best junior middleweight is.”
“However, Demetrius has no small challenge in front of him, between him and Vanes they have a combined record of 53-0. It's a fantastic fight, the winner becomes the WBO Champion and a real player in the division and in boxing.”
“We're confident that Demetrius has prepared well and is ready for this opportunity.”
