Figueroa Jr vs Guerrero Results From New York

Figueroa Jr vs Guerrero Results From New York – The Premier Boxing Champions took live boxing back to Long Island’s Nassau Coliseum this past Saturday evening. The main events turned the show into a “night of knockouts” as all three fights on the FOX broadcast ended before the distance.
Undefeated Omar Figueroa Jr made a triumphant comeback after a long layoff by stopping veteran former world champion Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero. Guerrero started the fight out strong, likely winning the opening round. Figueroa would turn things around in a hurry in round 2 as he dropped Guerrero three times. Guerrero came out fat in round 3 but Figueroa landed another shot that sent Guerrero down again. From there it was not long before Guerrero was dropped again and the referee stepped in to stop the fight.
Light heavyweight Marcus Browne started out fast and never let up in his match with undefeated Sean Monaghan. Monaghan hit the canvas in round one and referee Steve Willis stepped in to stop the fight in round two. Browne, a 2012 U.S. Olympian, moved to a perfect 20-0 in a strong performance where he outclassed Monaghan.
Heavyweight action started off the FOX broadcast as Adam Kownacki made a splash by stopping veteran former WBC world title contender Artur Szpilka. Szpilka was last seen eighteen months ago when he fell to Deontay Wilder in a bid to take the WBC world heayweight title but his return was derailed by Kownacki’s size and volume punching.
