International Brotherhood of Prizefighters Rankings: Week of July 31, 2023

A pound-for-pound shake-up was inevitable after the vicious beating Bud Crawford (USA) placed upon countryman Errol Spence.  Spence drops out, Shakur Stevenson drops in at #10 and Crawford pips Naoya Inoue to the number one spot.  My sense is these two will swap the number one spot, fight by fight, until such time as one of them loses or starts treading water.  Crawford and Spence also swap places at 147lbs.  Alexandro Santiago’s controlled performance on the undercard sees the Mexican (pictured on the right) rise to #2 at 118lbs with the legend Nonito Donaire (The Philippines) clattering down to #7.  Finally, Englishman Liam Davies posted an astonishing one-round knockout of Jason Cunningham (also of England) to grab the #10 spot at 122lbs.
