International Brotherhood of Prizefighters Rankings: Week of August 13, 2023

There’s a small change at heavyweight this week as Filip Hrgovic (Croatia) leapfrogs the inactive Andy Ruiz (USA) who is closing in on a year without a fight. Hrgovic (pictured on the right) moves up after a knockout victory over huge southpaw Demsey McKean. All Ruiz needs to do to reclaim the #6 slot is box. The rest of the changes for the second week of August all belong to 130lbs where Mexican Emanuel Navarrete rocketed to number one with a clear points victory over Oscar Valdez who drops to #5. Otar Eranosyan (Georgia) is a new man at #7 after his surprising and excellent victory over Roger Gutierrez of Venezuela.  Gutierrez drops out.

*Please note that when the fighter’s name appears with an asterisk it represents a movement in ranking from the previous week.
