Hasim Rahman announces weights for Pac-Morales II
LAS VEGAS, NV (January 20, 2006) – For the first time in boxing history, the reigning world heavyweight champion will officiate a championship weigh-in!
WBC heavyweight champion Hasim Rahman will be the man on the microphone when superstars Erik Morales and Manny Pacquiao have their official weigh-in before they meet in “The Battle!” – the sequel to their epic 2005 championship fight. The weigh-in takes place Friday, January 20, at Wynn Las Vegas (Margaux Ballroom #1.) Fighters will report at 3 P.M. with Morales and Pacquiao stepping on the scale at exactly 3:30 P.M.
Morales, 48-3 (34 KOs), from Mexico, and Pacquiao, 40-3-2 (31 KOs), from the Philippines, collide in a battle of three-time world champions, Saturday, January 21, at the Thomas & Mack Center, Las Vegas, NV, in a 12-round WBC International super featherweight title rumble. Promoted by Top Rank, in association with Wynn Las Vegas, “The Battle!” will be broadcast live on HBO Pay-Per-View.
