Mike Tyson Hits China
Former heavyweight champion of the world and onetime baddest man on the planet Mike Tyson arrived at Shanghai Pudong International airport yesterday for a three day visit to China.
The usual enthusiastic crowd that greets Tyson at each of his overseas stops was on hand, before the Iron Man was whisked off to Jinjiang Hotel, one of the city’s most historic and expensive hotels, located at No. 59 Maoming Road, for a little r & r.
Tyson’s schedule is a busy one. His first order of business is to participate in the ribbon cutting ceremony for a new nightclub, owned by one of Mike’s friends, followed by a round of golf at a charity event in Luodian, where local officials will make Tyson an honorary resident.
On Saturday Tyson, born Christian but a convert to Islam, intends to meet with the abbot of Jing’an Temple, a famous Buddhist monastery, to discuss the problems facing planet earth.
